there is known issue in dash(defect)...visit some car electrician but not skoda dealer because he/she will replace the dash and this will be expensive...))

car electrician is the best option since there is some problem with some of the relays or protectors.

    Hi everybody!

If your Instrument Cluster didn´t work correctly - don´t panic!

A common phenomenon, appearing at special model ranges of the VW Group, is a temporary or permanent malfunction of the Instrument Cluster.

    I. e. Malfunction of analogue needles

    o Tachometer

    o Speedometer

    o Coolant Temperature

    o Refuelling Indicator

    o Sev. Signal Lamps

    o …

Possible solution proposed by the manufacturer/ car dealer:

    Replacement of the complete unit (Instrument Cluster for approx. € 550) plus mounting (approx. 1 h = € 60 – € 80) and reprogramming…

But you can also get a Repair Manual on ebay. Looking for "Repair Manual Instrument Cluster Octavia" or so...

It works great and everybody can do it without great experience in repairing cars!

I fixed my Instrument Cluster a year ago and it still works without any trouble!

Hope thip advise will help you!

Can anyone provide some more details on the actual name of the repair manual for skoda dash clusters?
    Can't seem to locate one.

    Thanks.
