Hi, I could not find where the engine code is written in VW Golf. If you give a picture or detail description about where I should look at, I will be really appreciated.My problem is about the code that the first three characters are letters and the rest six characters are numbers.

If I give the supplier my reg no, make and model, engine size and engine code (from the handbook) its not enough info to get the exact part number, there seems to be 5 different sets of brake pads/shoes for this engine. Is there any way of finding out the PR code (or part code) without taking the parts off the car?genuine vw parts

its the usual story, whenever you go to buy parts for any car, theres 5 different types for that year, drives you mad !!!
